Excellent snapshot photo of, what I believe to be, three German officers relaxing, with two of them proudly displaying the Bar (Spange) to the Iron Cross 2nd Class on their tunics.
(If you won an EK2 in the First World War and then another in the Second World War, then instead of issuing you that second medal, the military hierarchy awarded you the 2nd Class Bar.)
