Postcard depicting a wonderful image of the Waffen-SS Division Das Reich entering the fray with their Panthers at Kursk. I believe it was at Kursk where Herr Barkmann was badly injured in his Panther and, being unconscious, was whisked off to a medical tent behind the lines.
When he came round he actually stitched up his own wound himself, rushed out of the tent, nabbed himself a motorcycle and roared back to his tank and carried on the battle.
They don’t make men like that anymore!!
